It is the annual ripening season of the citrus fruit. As the most popular citrus species in these years, citrus fruit is regarded as a dark horse among citrus fruits. Maybe everyone hasn't heard of the term wokan before, so how did it come about, and what little knowledge about wokan?
1.The origin of wokan
The emergence of Wokan is only a few years. It can dominate the citrus market in such a short time, which shows that the popularity of Wokan is high. In recent years, biotechnology has developed very quickly. In the past, there was no such variety as wokan, but due to the application of hybridization technology, wokan was also cultivated. After the hybridization of "Temple" orange and "Danxi" mandarin orange, the variety cultivated is the fermented mandarin orange we have today. Of course, the direct-cultivated fermented oranges are actually inedible. Now, fermented oranges are generally planted and added to the market after several varieties of optimization.
2.Which country is cultivated and the yield problem
Walnut is not actually a variety cultivated in China, but imported from abroad. From the Jeju Citrus Farm in South Korea to the Chongqing Citrus Orchard, Wokan has begun to take root in China. At present, the cultivation area of wokan is not limited to Chongqing, and Guangxi, Yunnan and other places have bases for wokan cultivation. Compared with ordinary citrus, the yield of citrus is very high. This late-maturing variety has average cold resistance, so it can only grow in the south of China. Generally, in the third year after planting, it enters a high-yield period. Each tree can produce about 15-18 kg, and an acre of land can produce about 1,400 kg.
3. Features of Wokan
The shape of the fruit is very beautiful, the skin is smooth, and the peeling is easy. In addition, the flavor of wokan is very good, almost all of which are orange-yellow flesh with more juice. The taste is pure and sweet, which makes people feel refreshing and sweet. In addition, the edible rate of wokan is very high, as high as 75%, and the juice yield is also 59%. Regardless of the edible rate or the juice yield rate, Wokan is at the forefront of all citrus and orange varieties.
4. Wokan is not sour
As a hybrid variety, Wokan can dominate the market in a short period of time, which means that its own fruit quality is very good. Among all the citrus species, Wokan is a rare and pure citrus species with a sweetness of 17-18 degrees. So it's almost impossible to encounter sour citrus fruit unless you eat it by itself. As long as they are friends who have eaten wokan, they generally hope from last year to this year. The fruit type is beautiful, the flesh is extremely delicate, and basically it does not taste sour. Who can you say can resist such citrus?
